Angela McDonald, Senior Director of Global Education
Angela began her medical sales career in pharmaceuticals with Merck where she specialized in the implementation and pull-through of hospital contracts. Most notably, she held responsibility for overseeing the annual bid process at Harris County Hospital District, one of the largest Disproportionate Share Hospitals in the nation, and a strategic account nationally for Merck. In this position, Angela rose through the sales ranks, achieving the highest level, Senior Executive Hospital Representative, in 10 years.
Angela transitioned to medical aesthetics in 2010 when recruited by Advanced Skin Technologies, the largest distributor of medical skin care products in Australia, to launch their skincare line, Auspect, in the U.S. Angela was involved in all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, and recruiting. This is where Angela discovered her passion for the aesthetics industry and particularly start-up organizations. While working with AST, Angela developed her interest in microneedling through her work with Genesis Biosystems and their technology, DermaFrac.
Angela was recruited by Crown Aesthetics in 2013 as they began the launch of their flagship product, SkinPen. She was not only drawn to the technology but the collaborative sales approach upon which Crown was being built. Angela was responsible for building, training, and supporting the sales team nationally. Angela is currently holding the position of Senior Director of Global Education.
Angela holds a BA in Speech Communications with a minor in Marketing from Texas A&M University.
