Joe Proctor Crown Aesthetics

Joe Proctor, Head of Innovation and Corporate Development

Joe Proctor is Head of Innovation and Corporate Development of Crown Aesthetics and an award-winning inventor in aesthetics. He launched Bellus Medical in 2012 to help leading physician-directed practices around the world grow their businesses. Bellus became the aesthetic division of Crown Laboratories in 2018, and was renamed Crown Aesthetics. This division specializes in non-invasive innovations that act as “gateway” products to draw new patients to its partners.

Mr. Proctor began his career in aesthetics more than 15 years ago through progressive sales development and training. As a strong influencer in the industry, he leads by example by offering products of the highest quality and safety standards, and by providing best-in-class customer service and education. He is the winner of the Non-Physician Technology Innovator of the Year from The Aesthetic Show with Crown as the winner of multiple Aesthetic Everything Awards and the SkinPen® microneedling device as the winner of the United Kingdom-based Barry Knapp Award for Product Innovation of the Year.

Michael McKenna

Michael McKenna, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Aesthetics

Michael McKenna is a seasoned business leader with more than 25 years of commercial expertise within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Michael joined Bellus Medical, now Crown Aesthetics, in 2017 as Vice President of Sales. He is a strategic thinker who has a strong aptitude for collaboration and engagement that generates brand adoption and customer loyalty. A proven and dedicated leader, his commitment to and belief in what he does are felt throughout his team and the entire organization, inspiring those around him to be at their best, every day.

Previously, Michael was the Vice President of North American Sales and Operations at Suneva Medical where he successfully led strong sales revenue growth over several years while directing the rapid development of Suneva’s outside sales team, customer service group, and inside sales force to support its expanding needs. Prior to that, Michael progressively accomplished 14 years at Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. in various leadership positions where he consistently exceeded annual company sales goals during his tenure.

Michael has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration Management from Auburn University.

Brad Cope – Sr. Director of Marketing

Mike Zuccala, Global Vice President, Professional Relations

Mike Zuccala has significant dermatological sales and marketing experience including prescription, cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. He has built, directed and managed the commercial infrastructure of multiple dermatological franchises, including photodynamic therapy. In 2010 he oversaw the launch of Allumera in the United States during his tenure at Photocure, Inc. His efforts have focused on patient, consumer, and healthcare professional programs including award-winning website launches, persistency programs, and aesthetic MD’s medical education.

Mike’s strategic vision and tactical execution have proven to increase revenue growth both domestically and internationally. Managing multiple agency partners and internal stakeholders, Mike has demonstrated strong leadership and has gained the respect and commitment of multiple key opinion leaders in our space, something that is critical to our success.

Mike obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Westfield State College and his MBA from Western New England College.

Brad Cope – Sr. Director of Marketing

Sean Madanipour, Vice President of Aesthetics Marketing

Sean Madanipour is currently the Vice President of Marketing at Crown Aesthetics, where he applies his extensive experience in medical device marketing and leadership to the aesthetics market. With a proven track record of managing early growth to mature brands at Fortune 500 companies, Sean has established himself as a strong leader in the industry.

Prior to his role at Crown Aesthetics, Sean served as the Executive Director of Marketing for Natrelle®, the market-leading Plastic Surgery portfolio at Allergan Aesthetics. In this role, he successfully launched new products, drove significant incremental revenue, and managed the direct-to-consumer program resulting in growth in consumer awareness and brand request.

Before joining Allergan Aesthetics, Sean led the global innovation pipeline for the Prevena™ Incision Management System at Acelity, which was later acquired by 3M™. His work resulted in standard of care adoption, underscoring his ability to drive success across multiple markets and product lines.

Sean’s career began in engineering, where he spent six years developing innovative technologies for use in neuromodulation and smart blood banking markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, as well as an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the UCSD Rady School of Management.

Andrew Moulton, Vice President – International Sales

Andrew has been in the aesthetics industry for 25+ years and brings with him a wealth of international experience. Andrew began his career with major companies such as Coca- Cola and Mattel Toys where he honed his sales skills. In the early 90’s he opened one of the first medi-spas in Texas and went on to build the business over 20 years before they were sold in 2014. During this time, he helped build the private label and branded skincare business for CBI Laboratories and Essential Elements. In addition, he has extensive global sales, business development, chain account, and distributor knowledge.

Andrew’s sales leadership has spanned 70 countries, overseeing inside and field sales representatives as well as practice development managers. He has worked closely with clinical and marketing teams to develop programs and initiatives throughout the world that support customer growth. In addition, Andrew has secured, trained and managed international distributors specifically focused on dermatology, plastic surgery, and aesthetics. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois.

Angela McDonald, Global Vice President of Education and Customer Success

Angela began her medical sales career in pharmaceuticals with Merck where she specialized in the implementation and pull-through of hospital contracts. Most notably, she held responsibility for overseeing the annual bid process at Harris County Hospital District, one of the largest Disproportionate Share Hospitals in the nation, and a strategic account nationally for Merck. In this position, Angela rose through the sales ranks, achieving the highest level, Senior Executive Hospital Representative, in 10 years.

Angela transitioned to medical aesthetics in 2010 when recruited by Advanced Skin Technologies, the largest distributor of medical skin care products in Australia, to launch their skincare line, Auspect, in the U.S. Angela was involved in all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, and recruiting. This is where Angela discovered her passion for the aesthetics industry and particularly start-up organizations. While working with AST, Angela developed her interest in microneedling through her work with Genesis Biosystems and their technology, DermaFrac.

Angela was recruited by Crown Aesthetics in 2013 as they began the launch of their flagship product, SkinPen. She was not only drawn to the technology but the collaborative sales approach upon which Crown was being built. Angela was responsible for building, training, and supporting the sales team nationally.

Angela holds a BA in Speech Communications with a minor in Marketing from Texas A&M University.

Joe Kneizeh, National Sales Director

Joe Kneizeh is a seasoned sales leader with over 15 years of medical aesthetics experience. As a multiple President’s Club award winner in sales and management, Joe has a proven track record of executing new-to-market aesthetic portfolios.

Joe began his career launching Sculptra in San Diego in 2004 before later being promoted to National Sales Trainer. He then worked at Allergan as a Business Development Manager and was responsible for growing Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm sales. Joe also worked at Medicis Aesthetics where he increased Restylane sales each quarter. Joe was one of the first nine Sales Representatives hired to launch CoolSculpting and was there for over 4 years before moving over to Ulthera where he won Presidents Club in his first year. Joe was appointed first Regional Sales Director at Envy Medical nearly 2 years ago and managed a team of eleven highly energetic, engaged members that far exceeded sales expectations.

Joe earned his B.S. in Biology from California Lutheran University.

Brian Patton, Executive Regional Sales Director – Southeast

Brian Patton is a performance-based sales leader with over 20 years of industry experience, leading the Eastern half of the U.S. at Crown since June of 2016. Brian produced multiple years of triple-digit revenue growth and earned two consecutive Sales Director of the Year Awards.

Brian has spent the last 17 years building expertise in launching and executing new-to-market aesthetic portfolios with 11 President’s Club awards in sales and management. The previous eight years, he focused on breast reconstruction and aesthetics at Mentor Worldwide, LLC. Additionally, he spent three years at Medicis representing the Restylane® family of products and three years at Dermik Aesthetics with the launch of Sculptra®.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.

Kirk Gorman, Senior Sales Director – Mid Atlantic Region

Kirk Gorman is an accomplished sales leader with over 15 years of medical aesthetics experience. He has a proven track record of sales and management success with multiple President’s Club wins, and also launching new aesthetics products into the market.

Kirk began his Aesthetics career at Bioform/Merz in 2006 and was promoted to Regional Trainer and Executive Platinum Sales Representative. He then joined Suneva Medical in 2014 and was promoted to Sales Director in 2015. He built and managed a Region while successfully growing the business. Kirk spent the past year at Plasma Concepts building a sales force on the East Coast and helping to grow and build demand for a new to market aesthetic technology and device.

Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Education from Rider University.

Jon Bullock, Sales Director – Great Lakes Region

Jon Bullock is a proven sales producer and leader with over 18 years of medical aesthetics experience. He has 25+ years of sales success and increasing responsibilities in the Pharmaceutical, Injectables, Biologics, Medical Products, and Capital Equipment Industries. Jon has experience in international sales and has held positions in companies ranging from small startups to large, established corporations at all levels of management (Regional Director, National Sales Director, and Vice President of Sales).

Over the past 18 years, he launched and sold some notable products in Aesthetics including Dysport, Restylane Lift, CoolSculpting, Ultherapy, MiraDry, Xeomin, Neocutis, and Cellfina and has won multiple awards. Jon was drawn to Crown Aesthetics because of its dedication to people, product, and potential and he is excited to be a part of Crown’s next growth phase!

Jon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN.

Jennifer Thomas, Sales Director – Northeast Region

Jennifer Thomas is a talented and innovative sales leader with over 15 years of experience selling and marketing multiple products in pharmaceuticals, medical device, aesthetics and dermatology. Jennifer has a consistent and proven track record of sales success, with expertise launching new products.

Jennifer began her career in pharmaceuticals with Sanofi-Aventis in 2006, where she went on to win several awards and notable achievements, including National Sales Champion. She was promoted into progressively more complex roles; joining the aesthetics business in 2010 where she launched Sculptra Aesthetic. Jennifer dramatically increased sales, finishing number one in overall growth in 2011. She went on to become an aesthetic and corrective account manager at Galderma in 2014, where she was responsible for growing the Restylane family of products, Dysport and Sculptra Aesthetic. In that time, Jennifer successfully launched multiple new products in the Restylane line and recognized for excellence and top performances. Since joining Crown in 2019, becoming a regional sales trainer in 2020, where she discovered a passion for working and developing field sales. Jennifer brings a customer centric approach to the business.

Pete Angles, Sales Director – Central Region

Pete Angles has over 25 years experience in nutraceuticals, dermatology and aesthetics sales of physician-dispensed skin care and injectable devices. He began his career as a Sales Rep for Allergan Dermatology and after assisting in new hire classes was promoted to Area Business Manager. Since then he has held several management positions and developed many award-winning Sales Reps and teams while working for Obagi, Dermik, Galderma and L’Oreal. Most recently he held the position of National Sales Director at Pierre Fabre.

Pete earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kansas.

Shannyn Tupper, Sales Director – Southwest Regional

Shannyn’s background is business development and commercial sales training. She owned a company specializing in training customer facing positions across industries from 2009 – 2013. Shannyn taught a program she developed to increase sales, and increase customer retention by differentiating her client’s brand. She believes in the power of excellent customer service and brings a concierge approach to aesthetics.

From 2013 – 2019 she worked at Suneva Medical, as National Training Manager. During this time the company launched a new brand as well as two new products in the regenerative aesthetics market. Shannyn learned from some of the true leaders in the field of aesthetics in this role. She found a passion in teaching her accounts the importance of a comprehensive training program.

In 2019 she joined Evolus Aesthetic to launch the newest neuromodulator, Jeuveau. She absolutely loved being back in the field, but the pandemic cut this role short.

She joined Crown Aesthetics in 2020 as the Los Angeles Territory Manager and grew her territory to its current state with three representatives now covering LA.

In 2022 she was promoted to Southwest Sales Director, managing a team of ten representatives spanning Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada , and Utah.

Sarah Fulton, Sales Director –Northwest Regional

Sarah Fulton is a dynamic and award-winning sales professional, acknowledged for 15 years of success in aesthetics sales. Sarah has won multiple President Club’s including Rookie of the Year, three times, Representative of the Year, twice, and most recently Rookie of the Year in 2020 and MVP of the West Region at Crown Aesthetics in 2020/21. Sarah has developed impactful sell-through programs, helped to onboard and lead top National Accounts and has been promoted to Senior Sales roles throughout her career due to her record of consistent excellence both in revenue growth and leadership amongst her peers.

Sarah started her career at Obagi Medical in 2005 and was promoted to Senior Sales Executive after winning multiple awards and contests. Then moved to Envy Medical and helped to bring their spotlight technology Dermalinfusion to acquisition with Allergan. Then after helping the Allergan team onboard the Envy product line, she moved over to Crown Aesthetics due to the dedication the leadership team has to their people and the innovative technologies they represent. She has been a top performer exceeding her goal consecutive quarters since her start date in July 2019 and has found great joy in mentoring multiple team members throughout her tenure. Sarah is excited to transition her effort from individual sales and clinical training to team leadership by taking the Pacific Northwest Regional Director role.
